i'm currently rocking out to "Cater 2 U".

-i wish somebody would try to check me on that.

i'll admit that dropping an entry in the blog is generally tedious. between working and focus on all the other goals, people and various excelsior in my life, it's hard to carve out an hour or two to write a relatively developed, coherent entry. so, i usually read the blogs of folks in my links list, looking for a bit of inspiration to write.

i happened across the blog of a cohort in the lust for life, and i was thoroughly inspired.

call me dreadfully dramatic and a romanticist of the worst kind, but i do believe that somehow, the circle of friends ive become a solid part of over the years has a sort of symbiotic potential to it... it's weird. maybe i should only speak for myself, but i totally thrive off of my peoples making moves in life.

i'm probably making a big deal of this because it makes me feel good... but i guess it's whatever works.

anyway.

- tomorrow will be the completion of my first week of my new job. yep. i quit the retail jazz and slipped back into the business casual desk gig. i get paid *way* more, i don't work half as hard, and i can sleep late on the weekends.

chalk that up to perseverance through prayer.

- i'm apt hunting really hard now. i'm really close, i just need to visit a place again to lock it down, but i dont know when i'll be able to do it, because the office hours are the same as my work hours. i'll work it out though.

- i haven't made a beat in at least a month. not a real beat. some mindless meanderings with drums and unused samples, nothing serious.

it's time to get back on the horse, though. i have an album and, possibly, a soundtrack for a local movie to contribute to. the new issue of SCRATCH has just blaze on the cover; me being amped would be an understatement.

- the flyers signed peter forsberg. they lost jeremy roenick in the process. the phillies are still 3 games out of the wild card, dragging philly baseball fans by their balls towards september, once more. T.O. showed up at camp, brian westbrook didn't, corey simon didn't- AGAIN- and hines ward should be hung in effigy. who's hines ward? EXACTLY. and. shaq and antoine walker might actually be a really good look. larry brown will not win in new york.

- i wanna visit new york city again. first empty weekend i have, ima make the trip.

aight.

i think i'm spent for the night.

"once again, back is the incredible."

if the Heat manage to field a lineup of Shaq, Wade, Walker, JWill and Haslem, they'd HAVE to be the favorites to win the East, even with an improved Indy and Detroit still around (sans Coach Brown). i think i've come to terms with the fact that Iverson will never win a championship.
