i need to read more.

so, over the next few months, i'm going to give myself (what i hope to be) beneficial reading assignments.

1st up will be Niccolò Machiavelli's The Prince.



after that, i'm gonna check Stephen R. Covey's The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.



i have a feeling they will be slow reads, but i think i could learn a lot from both, and i prefer applicable reading to fiction and fantasy. always have. i can't even think of the last novel i read purely for enjoyment; probably Ralph Ellison's The Invisible man. i'm surprised my vocabulary hasn't suffered as a result.

anyway. i'll keep you posted as to how they're going.

work is a certified fuckin' pain at this point. it's only 2:48 and i'm staying late, so i don't expect anything to improve. plus it's raining? this check better be the living breathing shit.
